Ejekwu Emerges as PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Rivers

Ejekwu has been confirmed as the gubernatorial candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, with significant backing from former Governor Nyesom Wike. The confirmation was made by Dr. Kenneth Yowika, who stated that Ejekwu is the sole aspirant for the position.

Ejekwu, who previously served as the caretaker chairman of a local government and has two terms as the PDP public secretary in Rivers State, expressed confidence in the party's strength and the massive turnout of support during the primaries. He indicated that the PDP is ready for a victorious general election, with Wike's influence growing stronger as they aim to shape political alignments to move the state forward.

Ejekwu's candidacy is part of a broader strategy involving the Rainbow Coalition, which aims to work against the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
