Bayelsa United and Wikki Tourists Relegated from NPFL

Bayelsa United was relegated from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after losing 2-1 to Remo Stars in their penultimate game of the season. Bayelsa took an early lead through Ofem Nneoyi, but Remo Stars equalized with a downward header from Alex Oyowah in the 41st minute.

The match turned in favor of Remo Stars when Victor Mbaoma scored his 13th league goal of the season, sealing Bayelsa's fate as they finished with 40 points, six points off the safety zone. This defeat ended Bayelsa United's four-year stay in the NPFL.

Wikki Tourists also faced relegation, losing 3-2 to River United, who produced two late goals to confirm Wikki's return to the Nigeria National League (NNL). The results mean that the NPFL title will be decided on the final day, with River United trailing Enugu Rangers by just one point.
