WILAN Launches Digital Leadership Suite for Women

The Women Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN) unveiled a Digital Leadership Suite designed to boost women's civic participation in Nigeria. This initiative responds to the concerning statistic that women occupy only 4.5% of seats in the National Assembly, with no female lawmakers in 15 state houses.

The suite includes three platforms: MyDreamGov, a civic engagement platform; Biird, a professional networking platform offering mentorship and career guidance; and a learning app providing leadership programs and resources for women at various career stages. Additionally, WILAN plans to introduce Zima, an AI-powered civic education platform, and Nana, a digital safety companion to help women identify and respond to gender-based violence.

WILAN founder Abosed Georg Ogan emphasized the need for greater recognition and support for women's leadership in Nigeria, urging citizens to engage in promoting inclusive leadership and to utilize the tools provided by the Digital Leadership Suite.
