Windass Criticizes EFL Over Southampton's Play-Off Ban

Josh Windass, a forward for Wrexham, publicly criticized the English Football League (EFL) regarding the ban imposed on Southampton, which has led to calls for a complete restart of the Championship play-offs. Southampton was expelled from the competition after admitting to three charges related to spying on opposing training sessions.

This decision came after a match where Middlesbrough had just beaten Wrexham, earning a semi-final spot against Hull City. The club's appeal against the EFL's decision is set for arbitration on Thursday, with a four-point deduction looming for the next campaign.

Windass expressed his disbelief on Instagram, questioning why the play-offs cannot start again, especially with the final scheduled for Wembley on Saturday. The EFL acknowledged the spying incident, which occurred during a clash between Oxford and Ipswich back in December.
