Nigeria's Internet Subscribers Reach 140 Million, Broadband Penetration at 48.8%

The latest report from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) reveals that Nigeria has 140 million internet subscribers as of August 2025, with a broadband penetration rate of 48.8%, slightly up from 48% in July 2025. The country is still below its target of achieving 70% broadband penetration by December 2025.

Mobile GSM subscriptions lead the internet subscriber numbers, followed by wireless and wireline services. The data also shows a growth in VoIP internet subscribers.
