D’Tigress Star Ami Okonkwo Released by WNBA Club

Ami Okonkwo, a forward for the Nigerian national women's basketball team, D’Tigress, was released by her WNBA club after her training camp contract expired ahead of the upcoming WNBA season. Okonkwo joined the franchise during preseason preparations and participated in an exhibition game, where she delivered an encouraging performance.

However, despite her efforts, she ultimately did not secure a place on the team's final roster. Across two preseason appearances, she averaged eight points and 2.4 rebounds per game, showcasing her scoring ability and international experience.
