In response, Wolverhampton Wanderers issued a statement condemning racism, asserting that there is no place for such conduct in society or football. The club emphasized their commitment to supporting Arokodare and stated they would work with Premier League authorities to identify the perpetrators of the abuse.

Arokodare expressed disbelief on Instagram regarding the freedom some individuals feel to engage in racism without consequences, calling for collective action to punish all who tarnish the sport. He is noted as the third player of African descent to experience racial abuse in the Premier League over the weekend, alongside Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri and Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana.
