Arokodare received offensive messages following Wolverhampton's 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, where he experienced frustration after a penalty save led to a late winner for Palace.

Mundle, who came off the bench during Sunderland's 3-1 home defeat to Fulham, also faced direct racist abuse, prompting him to delete his Instagram account. This incident is part of a broader concern regarding racism in the Premier League, as four players have reported being targeted within 48 hours.

The anti-discrimination charity Kick It Out has described these incidents as reflective of a persistent problem that refuses to fade. The report also notes that the scale of abuse reported this season has reached record levels, with organizations responding to earlier cases.
