Unidentified Woman Found Dead in Jos Wildlife Park

The mutilated body of an unidentified woman was found near a stream inside the Jos Wildlife Park Forest Reserve in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. The discovery occurred around 9:30 am on Thursday following a distress report to security operatives.

The woman had been reported missing by her family, who initiated a search that led to the grim finding. Security sources indicated that the woman sustained injuries on her arm and face, resembling machete cuts.

A staff member of the park, who spoke anonymously due to lack of authorization, confirmed that security operatives were alerted immediately after the body was discovered. The staff member stated, “We woke up and discovered the body and immediately contacted the security operatives.” Security personnel arrived at the scene to conduct an initial assessment, and an investigation has commenced to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the woman's death and potential involvement of criminal elements.

Efforts to obtain official confirmation from Alabo Alfred, spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
