Toke Makinwa: Women Should Avoid Marrying in 20s

Toke Makinwa, a media personality and actress, expressed her views on marriage during a recent episode of her podcast "Toke Moment," where she was joined by reality star Tacha. Makinwa claimed that it is not ideal for women to marry in their 20s, arguing that most women are still in the process of self-discovery and may not be equipped to make significant life decisions at that age.

She stated, “Women have no business getting married in their 20s… You don’t even know yourself yet. Those who did are regretting it now.” Makinwa further suggested that even women who remain married may secretly wish they had waited longer before tying the knot.

Tacha supported this sentiment by quoting her mother, who likened marriage to an institution where those inside want to exit while those outside are eager to enter.
