Worden HCD and Access Bank Empower 1,330 Youths in Lagos

Worden HCD Limited recently empowered 1,330 unemployed and underemployed youths in Lagos State through its Youth Innovation, Enterprise and Livelihood Development (YIELD) project. This initiative, implemented in partnership with Access Bank Plc and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Wealth Creation and Employment, aimed to improve employability and promote business creation.

The four-week program included vocational training in high-demand fields such as solar PV installation, CCTV installation, fashion design, and financial literacy. Abasi Ifreke Brendan, Chief Operating Officer and Team Lead at Worden HCD Limited, described the YIELD project as a strategic investment in nurturing entrepreneurs capable of creating jobs.

Amb. Tijani Saheed Oluwadare, Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor, commended the partnership, emphasizing the importance of collaborative initiatives in addressing youth unemployment and aligning with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to fostering employment and entrepreneurship.
