FIFA Unveils Championship Rings for 2026 World Cup Winners

FIFA has introduced a historic innovation for the 2026 World Cup, announcing that the tournament winners will receive a specially designed championship ring in addition to the iconic World Cup trophy and gold medal. This marks the first time in FIFA's history that a championship ring will be awarded to the victorious team, a tradition long associated with American sports.

The announcement was made ahead of the World Cup final scheduled to take place at a stadium in New York, New Jersey. The championship ring will serve as a lasting symbol of achievement for players, coaches, and staff.

Only 30 rings will be produced for the members of the winning team, with the design featuring the FIFA World Cup trophy on one side and the victorious nation's identity on the opposite side. The rings will be individually numbered and accompanied by an official certificate of authenticity.

The temporary rings will be presented to the team’s captain and head coach during the trophy presentation, while the permanent rings will be customized and presented later in a ceremony.
