Visitors, including fans and officials, attending the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States will be required to pay a visa bond of $15,000. This bond is part of a pilot program currently affecting nations such as Algeria, Cape Verde, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia.

The bond amounts are structured as $5,000 for children, $10,000 for minors, and $15,000 for adults, with refunds issued upon departure before the visa expires. FIFA has reportedly issued invitation letters to official delegations to help them bypass this bond requirement.

However, fans will still face significant financial burdens on top of travel and ticket costs, raising concerns about their ability to support their teams. With less than three months until the tournament, these visa hurdles remain a major concern for World Cup participants.
