Rooney Urges Tuchel to Rest Kane for World Cup Success

Wayne Rooney, a former Manchester United forward, has called on England manager Thomas Tuchel to consider resting captain Harry Kane to avoid fatigue as the World Cup progresses. Rooney's plea comes after England secured first place in Group L with a 2-0 victory over Panama on Saturday night.

Jude Bellingham scored the first goal in the second half, followed by Kane's header in the 67th minute, marking his 11th World Cup goal and surpassing Gary Lineker's record. Rooney expressed concern about Kane's potential fatigue affecting his performance in later stages of the tournament, noting that Kane appeared fatigued in past tournaments.

He suggested that Tuchel should take note of this and allow Kane to rest when possible. England is set to face DR Congo in the Round of 32 match scheduled for Wednesday in Atlanta.
