African Players Make World Cup Scoring History

Ismaïla Sarr, a 28-year-old forward for Crystal Palace, and Ismaël Saïbari from Morocco have made history as the first African players to score in three successive FIFA World Cup matches. Sarr achieved this milestone during Senegal's 3-2 defeat against Belgium, where he scored a goal.

Previously, he had scored against Iraq and netted a brace against Norway. Meanwhile, Saïbari scored a crucial goal for Morocco against Haiti, helping his team advance to the Round of 16 after a penalty shootout against the Netherlands, where they failed to score during the 120 minutes of play.

Morocco will face Canada in the next stage of the tournament.
