CAPPA Supports State of Emergency on Diabetes Care in Nigeria

The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CAPPA) has endorsed calls for a state of emergency on diabetes care in Nigeria, citing alarming statistics of diabetes-related deaths and cases in the country. With an estimated 30,000 annual deaths and 11.4 million Nigerians living with diabetes, CAPPA highlights the financial burden of managing the disease and the urgent need for policy measures to address unhealthy diets and sugary drink consumption.
