Wukari Council Addresses Misinterpretation of Governor's Remarks

The Wukari Traditional Council issued a statement on Saturday addressing the misinterpretation of Governor Agbu Kefas' comment about being a "real Jukun." The council noted that the remark, which was distorted on social media, could lead to division among the Jukun people. The statement was prompted by a Facebook post that allegedly misrepresented the governor's comments.

Jolli Agbu, the governor's special adviser, emphasized the need for unity and harmony within the community. The council clarified that the governor's statement was directed at his kinsmen and was not meant to imply superiority over other ethnic groups.

It reaffirmed the governor's commitment to integrity and moral values associated with the Jukun people. The council cautioned against selective interpretations that could strain relationships within the community and urged the public to disregard any smear campaigns against the current administration in Taraba State.
