Xi Jinping Advocates for Agricultural Modernization in China

On a recent inspection trip to Dezhou in Shandong Province, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, urged for solid measures to modernize agriculture and rural areas. He highlighted the need to enhance overall productivity and quality in agriculture to ensure a stable supply of agricultural products, particularly grain.

Xi stressed that stabilizing grain supply should be a top priority, and he called for efforts to improve agricultural infrastructure and strengthen disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities. During his visit, he interacted with local farmers, learning about their wheat harvest and corn planting.

Xi expressed hope that local party organizations would further leverage their guiding role to build a beautiful and harmonious countryside where people can live and work. He also inquired about the daily lives of families in the area, focusing on job income, health, and children's education, emphasizing the importance of delivering tangible results to enhance the people's sense of fulfillment and happiness.
