Yayi Commits to Peaceful Power Transition in Ogun State

Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, committed to ensuring a peaceful power transition in Ogun State during a strategic meeting with stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday. Adeola, who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations, emphasized the importance of consensus in selecting the governorship candidate for the 2027 elections.

He expressed gratitude towards Governor Dapo Abiodun for his contributions to the socio-economic and political development of the state. Adeola stated that the APC would work diligently to build upon past achievements and ensure a rancor-free political environment.

He noted that the first endorsement of a consensus candidate occurred among APC leaders in Ogun Central. The meeting included significant figures such as Deputy Governor Engr.

Noimot Salako-Oyedele and former Deputy Governor Prince Segun Adesegun, among others, who affirmed their support for the party's consensus candidate ahead of the elections.
