Yayi Unveiled as APC Governorship Candidate for Ogun 2027

Yayi has been formally unveiled as the APC governorship candidate for Ogun State in the 2027 elections, following a six-month strategic negotiation process involving President Bola Tinubu and elder statesman Chief Olusegun Osoba. Yayi secured a historic primary victory with 304,055 votes.

He aims to break the political jinx in the Ogun West Senatorial District, running alongside his chosen mate, Kudirat Adegunwa Balogun, a former local government chairperson. Yayi, who has served as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has focused on empowerment initiatives, providing scholarships, vocational training, financial support for small businesses, and community development projects that have benefited thousands.

His leadership approach prioritizes people-centered development and grassroots engagement.
