Yilwatda Urges Youths to Support Tinubu's Reforms

Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, the chairman of the Progress Congress, called on Nigerian youths, particularly those aged 25 to 55, to take a leading role in safeguarding and strengthening the country's democracy. In a statement issued on Tuesday by his special adviser on media and strategic information, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda highlighted the need for young Nigerians to resist attempts by self-serving political actors to derail national progress.

He noted that the current moment in Nigeria's democracy requires the energy, innovation, and patriotism of the youth. Yilwatda pointed out that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a youth-driven political movement, with 50 percent of its membership comprising young men and women.

He cautioned against allowing individuals with personal presidential ambitions to determine the country's future and warned against reversing hard-earned progress. Yilwatda acknowledged the ongoing reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he described as necessary for long-term prosperity and economic stability.
