Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda Aims for Economic Prosperity

Professor Yilwatda, the APC national chairman, articulated that President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda is focused on long-term economic prosperity for Nigeria. Issued on a Sunday, Yilwatda's statement highlighted the necessity for patience and sacrifice as the country undertakes economic reforms.

He noted signs of recovery and growth, emphasizing that the agenda is structured to tackle economic challenges and attract investments. Yilwatda mentioned that the Nigerian ports handled 1,092 ocean-going vessels in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting increased trade and investor confidence.

He also pointed out improvements in Nigeria's crude oil production, reaching 99.2% of the quota set by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. Additionally, he referenced the commissioning of a new 330kV transmission line in Edo State, which adds 600MW to the national grid, as part of efforts to enhance power infrastructure.

Yilwatda urged citizens to remain hopeful as the APC administration continues to implement reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy and improving living standards.
