Yobe Assembly Raises Concern Over Unprofessional Conduct of Health Workers

The Yobe State House of Assembly's Health Committee Chairman, Kachalla Ajiya Maina, raised alarm over reports of unprofessional behavior by health practitioners in public health facilities across the state during a budget defense session with the Ministry of Health. Maina highlighted growing complaints of neglect, harassment, and misconduct by health workers, particularly at the State Specialist Hospital in Damaturu.

Dr. Abubakar Yerima of the Yobe State Hospital Management Board assured the committee of thorough investigations and disciplinary actions to curb such behaviors and uphold medical professional ethics.
