Yobe State Government Employs 948 Teachers to Address Manpower Needs

The Yobe state government has employed 948 teachers to address the manpower gap in primary schools. Umaru Hassan Babayo, the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), confirmed the recruitment after meeting with Governor Mai Mala Buni.

The new recruits, including volunteer teachers, will undergo workshops to acquire additional skills for effective teaching and knowledge dissemination to pupils. The government has assured that the board will intensify inspections to ensure the quality and productivity of the newly recruited teachers.
