Yobe Youths Raise N188m for Ahmad Lawan's Governorship Bid

The Coalition Yobe East Progress Youth has successfully raised N188 million to support former Senate President Ahmad Lawan in his potential bid for the governorship of Yobe State in the 2027 elections. Dr. Yerima Goni, the coalition's leader, announced the fundraising initiative during an event in Damaturu, which aimed to encourage civic engagement and inclusive participation among youth stakeholders.

Goni emphasized the coalition's commitment to promoting good governance and youth involvement in the leadership process. Ahmad Lawan, while not having formally declared his candidacy, expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a demonstration of responsible citizenship and grassroots passion for political leadership.
