Yobe Fundraiser Raises N188m for Lawan's 2027 Bid

On Sunday, a grassroots fundraiser in Damaturu, Yobe State, generated approximately N188 million to support Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan's bid for the APC governorship nomination forms for the 2027 general elections. Lawan expressed gratitude for the contributions, which included cash donations and bank transfers to a dedicated Sterling Bank account.

The fundraising initiative was led by Dr. Moham Goni Yerima, who highlighted the community's response as a demonstration of citizenship and grassroots political participation. Contributions ranged from N100 to N3,000, reflecting a diverse group of supporters, including widows, mechanics, apprentices, traders, and students.

Lawan emphasized that this fundraising effort represents a significant investment in the vision for Yobe State, aiming for transparency and community ownership in governance. He called for continued guidance from Allah in their endeavors.
