Yoruba Council Commends Dangote Refinery for Price Reduction Amid Union Disputes

The Yoruba Council Worldwide and Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye have praised the Dangote Refinery for consistently reducing the prices of petroleum products. They cautioned oil and gas unions against spreading misinformation.

President Aare Oladotun Hassan led a delegation of 30 civil society organizations to visit the refinery, expressing support for Alhaji Aliko Dangote's management amid disputes with industry unions. The council accused some unions of imposing a N70 per liter charge, alleging a conspiracy to exploit Nigerians through fuel subsidies.

The refinery's investment was hailed as a blessing, countering claims of monopoly and misinformation by certain unions.
