Isaac Fayose, brother of former governor Ayo Fayose, publicly criticized Reno Omokri for accepting an ambassadorial role from President Bola Tinubu. Fayose slammed Omokri for allegedly lacking integrity, as Omokri had previously vowed against aligning with Tinubu's administration.

The criticism arose after Omokri's video defending his decision to accept the role was shared on Instagram on February 12, 2026. In the video, Omokri attempted to justify his position by stating that an ambassador represents the country's work as a whole, not just endorsing a specific individual.

However, Fayose accused Omokri of hypocrisy and a lack of integrity for embracing a role he had previously rejected. The controversy intensified following Omokri's interview on Channel TV, where he reiterated his stance and denied any contradiction in his actions.

Additionally, socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, engaged in an online feud with Fayose, questioning the legitimacy of his wealth accumulation and alleging unknown sources behind his riches.
