In a recent episode of 'Curiosity Made Me Asked,' hosted by Isbae U, veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade expressed his opinion that the late Kamal Adebayo, popularly known as Sir Kay, was not a good actor. Sir Kay, who passed away in December 2022, was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, known for his roles as a bad boy.

During the conversation, Yemi Solade stated, “Even your father didn’t appear in one solid movie or cinema movie,” implying that Sir Kay's filmography lacked significant cinematic contributions. Isbae U defended his father, asserting that he was a very good actor, to which Yemi responded, “No, no, he was not a good actor but he acted.” The exchange highlighted differing views on Sir Kay's legacy, with Isbae U ultimately stating, “I can’t fight his battle for him.”.
