Youth Minister Ayodele Olawande Launches NYSC E-Training Portal

Comrade Ayodele Olawande, the Minister for Youth Development, inaugurated the NYSC Staff E-Training Portal during the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Pre-Orientation Workshop held in Abuja. He affirmed the Ministry's commitment to supporting the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and praised its leadership for implementing innovations that enhance workplace efficiency.
Olawande stressed that academic qualifications alone are insufficient to address unemployment, urging Corps Members to acquire practical skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and personal responsibility. He highlighted that Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) is currently the most vital component of the NYSC.
Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of NYSC, noted the necessity of regularly updating the Orientation Course content to remain relevant in a changing society. He explained that the workshop's theme, “Reimagining the NYSC Orientation Course: Building Resilient, Responsible and Service-Oriented Corps Members for a Changing World,” aims to shape Corps Members' character and civic awareness.
