Education Minister Commends NYSC for Tech Innovations

Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, commended the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its innovative use of technology to reduce fraudulent activities and improve operational efficiency. This acknowledgment occurred during a courtesy visit from Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the NYSC Director-General, in Abuja.

Alausa praised the leadership of the NYSC for the significant transformations achieved, particularly in the registration and deployment processes of corps members. He noted that the initial public resistance to the NYSC's technological adoption has been overcome, leading to substantial improvements.

Nafiu informed the minister about the strengthened security features of corps members' call-up and posting letters, which were previously targeted by fraudsters. These enhancements have made the documents more secure and easier for employers to verify.

Additionally, a joint committee has been established between the NYSC and the Federal Ministry of Education to ensure that only qualified Nigerian graduates participate in the NYSC.
