Nigeria's Youth Ministry Launches "Youth Innov Naija" Initiative

The Ministry of Youth Development in Nigeria has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CIML and Mind the Gap TV to implement the "Youth Innov Naija" initiative. This program is designed to unlock the innovative potential of Nigerian youth and support them in becoming entrepreneurs and innovative leaders.

The signing ceremony took place at the ministry's headquarters in Abuja, with Dr. Maryam Keshinro representing the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodel Olawand.

The initiative includes a youth-focused television program titled "Youth," which will provide a digital platform to showcase youth voices and ideas, fostering the development of initiatives across the country. The ministry emphasized Nigeria's status as having one of the largest youth populations in the world, presenting a unique opportunity for innovation-led development.

The initiative aims to address the common issue of valuable ideas remaining underfunded and uncommercialized, creating a disconnect between innovative concepts and viable enterprises.
