Youth Ministry Partners NTDA to Boost Tourism Opportunities

The Nigerian Ministry of Youth Development, represented by Comrade Ayodel Olawand, is partnering with the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) to expand opportunities for Nigerian youth, particularly in the tourism sector. During a courtesy visit in Abuja, Olawand reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to empowering youth through strategic collaboration with key economic sectors, especially tourism.

He highlighted the vast opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship within Nigeria's rich cultural heritage. The ministry aims to engage young Nigerians in various sectors, including entertainment, creative industries, sports, education, agriculture, and tourism.

Olawand emphasized the need for strong inter-ministerial collaboration and partnerships with relevant stakeholders to promote talent development and strengthen youth entrepreneurship. Dr.

Maryam Ismaila Keshinro noted that many young Nigerians remain unaware of the opportunities embedded in the country's cultural heritage. Dr.

Ola Awakan, the NTDA director, underscored the critical role of youth participation in transforming the tourism sector, which is currently underutilized.
