Youths must break cycle of corruption – Ex-EFCC chairman, Magu

Former Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, emphasized the importance of Nigerian youth in breaking the cycle of corruption in the country. Speaking at the National Industrial Manpower Summit 2025 in Abuja, Magu highlighted corruption as the biggest obstacle to Nigeria's growth.

He urged young Nigerians to take the lead in ending corrupt practices, linking corruption to the country's manpower challenges and the limited opportunities available to talented individuals. Magu warned that corruption not only leads to stolen money but also kills innovation, hope, and the spirit of Nigerian youth.

He called on young people to embrace honesty, reject shortcuts, and recognize genuine leadership to drive the country forward. Magu expressed confidence in the resilience of Nigerian youth and their ability to shape the future of the country.
