Youths Seek Deployment Of Troops To Flush Out Bandits From Kwara

Youths from Kwara South Senatorial District are urging the immediate deployment of heavy military forces to flush out bandits from the area. The demand was made during a press conference by leaders of the Igbomina Youth Assembly, Kwara South Youth Development Organisation, and Kwara South Consultative Youth Forum.

The spokesperson of the groups, Engr Ajibola Olugbenga, emphasized the need for a full military base in the affected area with occasional patrols and air support. They also called for the creation of a joint security task force involving federal, state, and local authorities, as well as youth representatives.

The youths highlighted the urgent need for security measures to address the bandit attacks that have disrupted farming activities and caused mass migration in the region. They are demanding justice for the slain and protection for the living, stressing the national importance of the issue.
