Kwara Governor Seeks More Troops After Bandit Attack in Oke-Ode

Following a bandit attack in Oke-Ode, Kwara State Governor AbdulRazaq has requested additional troops to combat rising insecurity. The attack targeted a forest guard post, with local defenders overwhelmed until reinforcements arrived.

The governor praised the bravery of the victims and emphasized the need for enhanced security measures, especially in Kwara South and North. Urgent troop deployment is deemed necessary to address the escalating bandit attacks in the state.

The Army Headquarters has directed the relocation of military resources to Kwara State to bolster the response to the security challenges.
