Ogun Police Warns Residents Against Using Fireworks and Bangers

The Ogun State Police Command has reiterated the ban on the use of fireworks and bangers during the Christmas and New Year celebrations to maintain public safety. The Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, emphasized that the loud sounds produced by these items could cause panic and unnecessary tension.

Residents are urged to celebrate peacefully and report any suspicious activities to the security agencies. The Command has deployed comprehensive security measures to ensure the safety of lives and properties across the state, with intensified patrols in residential areas, markets, motor parks, worship places, hospitals, and major highways.
