Kano State Governor Orders Recruitment of 2,616 Teachers and Absorption of 4,315 Volunteers

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has directed the immediate recruitment of 2,616 qualified teachers to address the high teacher-student ratio in public primary schools. Additionally, he confirmed the absorption of 4,315 former Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) volunteers into the state civil service as permanent and pensionable workers.

This move aims to enhance literacy levels, improve access to education, and strengthen accountability in basic education. The recruitment aligns with the government's commitment to addressing challenges in the education sector and ensuring functional and quality education in Kano State.
