Zamfara Hajj Commission Announces 2026 Airlift Schedule

The Zamfara State Hajj Commission has unveiled the official airlift schedule for the 2026 pilgrimage, with the first batch of intending pilgrims scheduled to depart on May 15. This announcement was made during a press briefing held in Gusau on Thursday by the Executive Chairman of the commission, Alhaji Musa Mallaha.

The plan is designed to assist pilgrims in their preparations and ensure a smooth airlift operation. A total of 1,755 pilgrims will be airlifted in five separate flights, with the schedule allowing for proper coordination to minimize delays during the airlift process.

This marks the first time that intending pilgrims will depart directly from the newly completed Gusau International Airport. Ibrahim Gidan Tsika, the Public Relations Officer of the commission, conveyed that the pilgrims will be transported from the Hajj camp to the airport for boarding.
