FOZASTI Issues Ultimatum to Zamfara Government Over Demands

The Forum of Zamfara State Tertiary Institution Workers (FOZASTI), led by Chairman Yusuf Magaji Mada, has threatened to initiate industrial action if the Zamfara state government does not resolve outstanding issues within a two-week ultimatum. The forum's statement, issued in Gusau, highlights persistent unresolved demands that include the implementation of the CONPCASS and CONTEDISS salary scales for relevant staff, payment of the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), and Earned Academic Allowance (EAA) for eligible academic staff.

Additionally, FOZASTI is calling for the implementation of staff promotions across all eligible grade levels and resolution of outstanding promotion-related matters. The forum emphasized that these demands are crucial for the welfare and professional development of staff and the effective functioning of tertiary institutions in the state.

FOZASTI has urged the state government to engage meaningfully during the ultimatum period and has committed to dialogue while warning of potential industrial action if demands are not met.
