Zenith Bank Champions Canada-Africa Trade at Conference

Zenith Bank Plc sponsored the 6th Canada-Africa Business Conference held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The conference aimed to strengthen trade and investment between Canada and Africa, bringing together senior government officials, business executives, investors, and diplomats.

Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank, and Mr.

Akin Ogunranti, Executive Director, emphasized the conference as a platform to foster stronger commercial partnerships amid changing global economic dynamics. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, and Trade Investment, Mr.

Babatunde Onigbanjo, reaffirmed the state's commitment to creating an enabling environment for international business partnerships. The Canadian delegation included representatives from 31 companies across various sectors.

The conference is expected to boost Nigeria's attractiveness to Canadian investors, creating new opportunities for technology transfer and infrastructure development.
