Zenith Bank, NBBF Gear up for 2nd Phase of National Women’s Basketball League

Zenith Bank and the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) are gearing up for the second phase of the National Women's Basketball League. The annual domestic league, sponsored by Zenith Bank PLC, is set to take place in the Atlantic Savannah conference from August 24 to September 1.

The NBBF has confirmed its readiness to adhere to the commencement date, with the first phase having been successfully completed in Benin. Teams like defending champions Mountain Fire Miracle Ministries Basketball team and First Bank have shown good form, with other strong contenders including Dolphins, Bayelsa Blue Whales, and Air Warriors.

Zenith Bank has reiterated its commitment to the development of the game in Nigeria, with the Group Managing Director and CEO, Dame Adaora Umeoji OON, expressing pride in the league's results so far. The final is set to take place in Lagos, where the top eight teams from the two conferences will vie for the 2025 title.
