Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League Phase 2 dunks off today

The Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League Phase 2 is set to begin today, with the Atlantic Conference matches ending on September 1. Perpetua Clement, Chairperson of the Women Basketball Premier League, confirmed the federation's readiness for the competition.

The first phase took place in Benin, with defending champions Mountain Fire Miracle Ministries (MFM) Basketball team and First Bank having a good run. Other strong contenders include Dolphins, Bayelsa Blue Whales, and Air Warriors.

The Group Managing Director and CEO of Zenith Bank, Dame Adaora Umeoji OON, expressed pride in sponsoring the league and stated that they are working towards making the tournament better every year. The final 8 teams will compete in Lagos from September 14-18 to determine the overall winner.
