Zidane Calls for Recognition of Ronaldo Amid Dispute

Zinedine Zidane, the current manager of the France national team, called on Portugal to properly acknowledge Cristiano Ronaldo's significant contributions to football during a press conference ahead of France's UEFA Nations League match against Belgium. This statement comes amid an ongoing dispute between Ronaldo and Portugal's national team head coach, Jorge Jesus.

The controversy escalated when Ronaldo departed from the training camp following comments made by Jesus during a press conference prior to Portugal's Nations League victory over Denmark. Zidane praised Ronaldo's influence on his own managerial career, stating, "Cristiano Ronaldo made me win incredible trophies," and emphasized the need to honor Ronaldo's illustrious career.

As a result of his departure from the camp, Ronaldo will not participate in Portugal's final Nations League match against Norway later today.
