Zimbabwe Names Squad for Unity Cup in London

Zimbabwe's national football team coach Kaitano Tembo has released a 23-man squad for the upcoming Unity Cup, an invitational tournament scheduled to take place in London from May 26 to May 30. The Zimbabwe Football Association published the squad list on Monday.

Tembo's selection aims to balance established international players with emerging talent, drawing from leagues across England, Scotland, France, and South Africa. The tournament will feature four teams: Nigeria, India, Jamaica, and Zimbabwe.

Notable inclusions in the squad are 29-year-old Marshal Munetsi, who returns after missing the 2025 AFCON due to injury, and Jordan Zemura, who rejoined the national team for the first time since November last year. Other players include goalkeeper Marlei Tavaziva from Brentford FC and defenders Munash Garananga from Hibernian FC and Corbin Mthunzi from Ipswich Town FC.

Zimbabwe will face defending champions Nigeria in the semi-final on May 26 in South London.
