Zimbabwe Names Squad for Unity Cup Against Nigeria

Kaitano Tembo, the interim head coach of the Zimbabwe National Football Team, has unveiled a 24-man squad ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup clash against Nigeria, set to take place in London on May 26. The squad includes three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards, with two home-based players making the cut.

Notable inclusions are assistant captain Marshal Munetsi, returning after nearly five months due to a controversial omission from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final squad, and defender Jordan Zemura, who rejoined the squad for the first time since November 2025. The squad features players from various clubs, including Tino Kadewere from Ari Thessaloniki in Greece and Marvel Nakamba from Sheffield Wednesday in England.

This match will serve as an early opportunity for Tembo to test his team's combinations ahead of upcoming fixtures.
