Hayatudeen Critiques Zoning Debate as Distraction in Nigeria

Hayatudeen, an economist, banker, and public policy expert, and a presidential aspirant representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the current zoning debate is distracting Nigerians from urgent challenges facing the country. Speaking on Channels Television's Political Paradigm program, he highlighted issues such as insecurity, economic decline, unemployment, and poverty as critical concerns that need immediate attention.

Hayatudeen argued that Nigeria's worsening security situation is linked to poor economic management over the years, which has exacerbated poverty and made citizens vulnerable. He dismissed claims that the current insecurity is primarily driven by electoral motives, stating that available data does not support this argument.

Hayatudeen expressed his commitment to running on the ADC platform, aligning with the party's ideology and leadership manifesto, which focuses on addressing the cost of living crisis, insecurity, job creation, and poverty eradication, reflecting the priorities of ordinary Nigerians.
