Hayatudeen: Zoning Debate Distracts from Nigeria's Crises

Hayatudeen, a presidential aspirant from the ADC, has criticized the ongoing zoning debate, stating it diverts attention from critical issues such as insecurity and economic collapse in Nigeria. He highlighted the dire situation where 416 people were abducted last week and thousands have been killed over the past three years.

Hayatudeen emphasized that Nigerians need leaders defined by their skills and vision rather than geographical characteristics. He pointed out that Nigeria's security crisis is linked to decades of economic mismanagement, which has led to a significant rise in poverty, with approximately 110 million Nigerians living below the poverty line.

Additionally, he addressed the ADC's current leadership crisis, noting that the Supreme Court has delayed a judgment on the party's leadership matter, which could impact its ability to field candidates for the 2027 elections. Hayatudeen expressed confidence in the party's legal team and their ability to navigate the situation.
