Borno Governor Declares Fasting and Prayer to Combat Boko Haram Attacks

Governor Zulum of Borno State has declared a state-wide day of fasting and prayer on November 24, 2025, to address the resurgence of attacks by Boko Haram insurgents. The governor highlighted the impact of the conflict on society, with millions displaced and socio-economic activities disrupted.

He called for unity among different ethnic and religious groups to support the security forces in combating the common enemy. Despite recent attacks, the state has shown a degree of stability.
