Zulum Declares Day of Fasting and Prayer Amid Rising Terror Attacks in Nigeria

Borno State Governor Zulum has declared a day of fasting and prayer in response to the increasing attacks by terrorist groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP spreading across Nigeria. Recent incidents include school and church attacks in Kwara, Kebbi, and Niger states, resulting in abductions and deaths.

Zulum urged unity and resilience among residents, emphasizing improved security measures and community vigilance. This marks the second time this year Zulum has called for a statewide day of fasting and prayer following similar events in Mai-led Rann.

The government aims to address the security challenges through a combination of support for security forces, community engagement, and dialogue efforts.
